這代的AORUS X7 DT V8在效能上比起上代有非常大的進步，除了CPU效能進步外，介面上也有提升，鍵盤鬼鍵問題也解決了。

隨著第八代CPU發表後，技嘉陸續推出一系列的新機 象徵技嘉高階產品的AORUS系列，也隨之推出Coffee Lake平台的新筆電
此次Coffee Lake平台除了較普遍的I7 8750H外，也提供另外兩顆更高效能的I7與I9系列的CPU AORUS一向都使用等級次高一階的CPU來作為賣點，此次也不例外 所以在AORUS X7 DT V8上，也採用了I7 8850H來搭配，期望創造出更佳的效能
